me and my friend are doing a gsr swap on his 96 civic hatch back ... the mounts don't fit obviously but where im confused at is you can drop a ls into a civic si no mounts needed... so why does he need civic si mounts for the hatch back? why won't mounts from a b18a1 b1 or even his b18c fit ? needless to say the swap came to a hault till we find a civic si in a junkyard (if we ever get so lucky )

yeah its close but no cigar lol ... only thing i can think of is the hatch backs comes with the b-16 and that little dinky d-series ? im sure i could swap a gsr no problem in a integra since the integra came with a gsr option buy my friend just paid 2k for this hatch so there is no going back

hmm thats weird...i swapped my old gsr into my 95 hatch with the gsr mounts no prob. but thats because the 94-01 integra and 92-95 civic bays are the same. but im not sure about 96-00 civics. If u tried both the gsr and stock d series mounts and they dont work, u prlly need aftermarket ones---like Hasport :super

i dont know what mount u need but the left hand engine bracket must be replaced with one from a 99-00 civic si or 94-97 del sol DOHC VTEC with the si or del sol bracket the rubber mount to the frame rail will fit the front trans bracket you can use any 94-01 integra,99-00 si, or 94-97 del sol DOHC VTEC
