I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING MY B20 MOTOR FOR TURBO.
I WILL BE POSTING UP PICS AND UPDATES AS I START WHICH WILL BE AS SOON AS MY BLOCK GETS BACK FROM BEING SLEEVED. HERE IS WHAT I GOT SO FAR:

HEAD:
P8R HEAD
PORTED & POLISHED B18B MANIFOLD
KMS DUAL VALVE SPRINGS AND RETAINERS
LOOKING FOR VALVES AS OF NOW
CROWER 402 TURBO CAMS
BLOX THROTTLE BODY

BLOCK:
B20Z2 WITH JGE STRAIGHT WALL SLEEVES
PROBE RODS
84MM SUPERTECH FORGED PISTONS AND RINGS ( DONT REALLY KNOW ALOT ABOUT THESE BUT I FIGURED I WOULD GIVE THEM A SHOT SINCE ALOT OF PEOPLE I KNOW ARE USING THEM)

I WILL BE RUNNING A t70 TURBO
MOST LIKELY I WILL BE USING CROME PRO...

TRANSMISSION IS A ITR LSD WITH A 7LB FLYWHEEL AND A STAGE 4 CLUTCH FOR XTD

MORE THINGS TO BUY INCLUDING MY INJECTORS, AND THE FEW OTHER MISC STUFF... I WILL GET PICS UP WHEN I CAN AND IF ANYONE WANTS TO GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON ANYTHING FEEL FREE TO.

i decided to to sleeve to be on the safe side..... there are plenty of people running boost on stock b20 sleeves.... pushin 17-19lbs that i know of and have been running like that for a over 2 years in some cases. i guess they just have luck. i just dropped 4200 dollars on my motor... i didn't want to piss it away because i decided not to sleeve and cheap out

hey i wouldnt go with the 7lb flywheel...usually when you go boost you want a flywheel that is heavier to take the abuse more...atleast thats what ive heard

Not necessarily... Load also enables you to create boost as well. What made you decide to go with the type r trans?

yea man i wouldnt get a aftermarket flywheel...just keep the stock one so that it will be safer. in theory yea a lightweight flywheel will kick ur revs up higher but i dont think its a wise step especially cuz i know with that sleeved block u aint gonna be pushin just 8lbs of boost haha...and if you can get a different trans i would suggest it cuz a type r trans is meant for all motor applications...the gears are so short you'll never get traction...see if you can get a ls or even a GSR would be fine

yea i actually i have an ls hydro tranny and i was going to sell it with my b18b when i pull it out my car. i was worrying about traction and i was thinking about keeping the ls trans and slapping it on. the ls trans has lsd installed on it so i think ill be good
