I have a 96 civic ex with a d16z6 motor. The engine has all new seals cleaned and everything has been replaced that needed it. Its a new motor basically. I'm running a chipped p28 ecu. When i get on it I cant hear the vtec kick in. I have checked the vtec soliond and its good. I usually shift around 7200 and it goes there good. The only thing that is done to the motor is headers and a fuel pressure regulator with a gauge.; Does any one have any ideals about the vtec not being loud. Thanks for the help.

does your speed sensor work? Do you have enough oil pressure? check your oil pump? Check your connection, Also you said chipped ecu make sure it's program right.
