i was wondering if a 96 gsr brake master cylinder will fit on a 95 ls brake booster. i know the piston size is larger for the GSR unit, but i don't know if the mounting tabs will mate up with the holes on the booster. i thought this would be a cheep upgrade for my brake system. and since my master cylinder is bad what better time to upgrade.thanks in advance.

do you still have the old master cylinder? you might be able to take it and line it up with the gsr cylinder to see if it is close. it should be close but i dont know if it is exact.

well it is still in use i should be getting the new one tomorow. it is a re-man. so it should be an original nissin. that is what i'm hoping at least. if it dosnt work i'll just have to try and make it fit. but if that dont work either i'll just have to send it back and get the regular one. i got a good deal on it so it probally wont fit. and i'll be bummed. but ya never know. i was hopeing someone on here has done this...er..uh up-grade before, and was going to be like oh hell yea that works awesome, then i'd be able to get all happy in pants, but so far i think i'm gonna be dissapointed. oh well. i'll let ya all know how it works out. it seems like a good idea at least.

yea that works awesome. so good in fact it was the exact same part. i guess if i actually wasn't so lazy i could've found that out earlier, but... so yea if you have a GSR, TypeR, or late model 4 dr integra(ls, gs, rs) or 4dr GSR they all share the same brake master cylinder. which has a 1" piston. compared to the 3dr LS,GS,RS, which only has 7/8"-15/16" brake master cylinder. there you have it. and i still have no idea if you can swap the 1" onto the other ones for slightly better brakes.

The brake master cylinder is where brake fluid is stored right? I haven't tried it but I think they are close enough to fit.
