some of the jdm gsr trannys come with lsd...and honestly you really cant tell from the vin on a honda trans to tell what type it is

stock honda transmissions will hold an easy 500 hp

the a1 is the type of b18, the b18a1 came in the integra DA (90-93) and has a little bit less hp then the b18b (94-01 integra). swapping out the gears is going to be a pain, i would just buy a gsr tranny used and call it a day. it will be a lot less frustrating and money prolly

no... just get a GSR tranny and a good clutch (stage 2+) and you'll be straight...

you can also break stuff depending on how bad a driver you are...ive launched my b20/vtec at 7500 rpms and never broken anything

When your car starts to really hook you will begin to break drive shafts and gears when launching hard etc. Otherwise, when the tires spin a bit thing are less prone to break imo and experience at the track.

the civic si d series trans is shorter...you could put a different final drive in it...that would help out a lot

when buying your trans why dont u look down the input shaft to see if it lsd or not that is the best way for sure anybody could put a BS vin number on the trans and actually some if not most are stamped LSD on the casing at least the ITR trans are but that is just my 2 cents
