I'm just curious about rear control arm replacment? Do they provide a performance improvment or are they just there for show? Which would you pick - Skunk 2, Blox, Omni power, function 7? I'm planning to upgrade my complete suspension on my DC4, just getting ideas.

Id' rock the Function 7's but theyre like 250 a set. otherwise I'd take some k sports lca's

i think the only added benefit is they're lighter than stock and some have adjustable sway bar mounting positions.

make sure you buy ones that come with poly bushings in them not rubber.

anyway they are just weight reduction really, its works the same way light weight retainers do for valve springs. less weight so you get faster response in the suspension.

A big reason to put LCAs in is that the OEM bushings on honda/acura go bad FAST,and in the case of my car I had to cut my old struts out around the LCA, so I just assumed replaced the whole guy,and HOLY CRAP it gets MAD MAD attention, I can't wait ot put alower tie bar with it

I believe the consensus is that LCA's are more or less 'bling' than anything. Of course my stock LCA's are 220k miles long so I'll be replacing them right away! lol. I'm actually going with a set with spherical bearings, hopefully it won't be too bad as I daily this car as well.

Actuallllllllllllly, honda/acuras are infamous for the bushings in the OEM LCAs being dang near impossible to remove OEM struts to replace with aftermarket struts/coils. By the time you pay for a set of bushings and deal with all that, might as well go with a set of stronger, lighter LCAs with newer, stronger bushings than OEM anyway.

I wish I had gone with Mfactory, eventually I'd like to put Mfactory LCAs on there

There's plenty of discussion as to going aftermarket for LCA's. I've had a set of Megans on my daily driver, and while it was ok, I heard that their bushings were horrible.

I believe most track guys stick with OEM...and yep, mFactory is the route I was taking, but there isn't much feedback yet since they aren't as big as F7/skunk2. I know skunk2 came out with yet another version which is near identical to the F7. Anyways, I should have the mFactory set on there in a few weeks, I'll let you guys know.

In my experience,if Mfactory makes a product, its Mfactory > anything else.

<---HUGE,HUGE mfactory fan, everything I'veh ad from them has been straight on

My only set of aftermarket LCA is SRR, still works very well to this day, for about 4 years.

I bought it for its poly bushing. Weight saving is very minimal. It is a part that can be left alone unless OE is failing on you.

Or unless youre into

1. wasting money
2. making it look better
3. just in the game for some bling

be sure when you install new LCA's, keep all the bolts sortove loose and jack that one side of the car up till its at the ride height that it will be at then tighten the bolts... this is so that there is no preload on the bushings, and this also keeps them from going out soon
