ok when i start to look at turbos and intercoolers bov and wastegates entire set ups and individual parts alike i cant help but compare it to standing in front of the shampoo isle in the store. i just want some damn shampoo but there are too many. if only there was "Man shampoo" lol. anyway i was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for a good bang for your buck set up (everything from exhaust mani to intercooler). i dont have a million dollars either so im tryin to go cheap as possible with out forfeiting quality too much. my intentions are daily and track running on pump gas.

my set up (or what it will be)
92 civic si EG
98 b20b sleeved 84mm
stock crank
eagle h beam rods
cp 9:1 pistons
duel springs and titanium retainers
crower 402t cams
adj cam gears
aem ecm
edlebrock victor intake
fuel sys. undecided

any help would def be appreciated thx :D

Figure out what your hp goals are and what you want from the car ie drag racing, autoX or just a daily driver and go from there. Local tuning shops will be a big help. Check out SSAutochrome, they make decent turbo manifolds, turbos and intercoolers. Better than ebay. The best way to go is a custom kit if you have the money to spend.

Their turbos are really quality turbos. Most of them are Garret or Mitsubishi. You can have a DD 300+ hp Honda. You will need to build the bottom, end upgrade your injectors, fuel pump and get a good tune. Dont get an AEM EMS for tuning they are way pricey and Hondata will run the car alot better for a DD. Get 550cc injectors they act the best and are simple to have tuned.

yeah i have my bottom sleeved with cp forged pistons and eagle h beam rods. 84mm bore with 9:1 comp ratio i dont have much head work done stock cams(for now) stock valves duel springs titanium retainers adjustable cam gears edlebrock victor x intake mani, was gonna go with rc injectors and aem for the rest of the fuel system. which ecu should i use with hondata? and the reason i was gonna just get aem ecm was because i didnt know which ecu to use plus id have to get it socketed and then put the hondata in it. it just seemed like a pain plus you get more options with the ecm. idk which is best though

You can use any obd1 ecu. I have a P28 92-95 Civic Ex Vtec ecu, it doesnt matter if you dont have Vtec with a Vtec ecu. The Hondata chip runs on what ever program the tuner flashes into it. Dont waste your money on AEM fuel parts, its all for looks. Just upgrade your injects and fuel pump. I do have an AEM fuel rail but its just for looks. A Hondata S300 is way better than an AEM EMS. It has multi stage boost control, launch control, No3 control, data logging plus it uses OEM Honda electronic. Nothing is better to run a motor than a stock ECU.
