yeah so i have a 91 hatch with a B18b in it. i am wanting like 300whp and would like to twist high rpm's. obviously i want to stay non vtec so how can i do this. this is what i have:

nearly fully built head
(crower 404 cams, stage 3 crower springs and retainers, crower valves and a 3 angle valve job)
should i pnp this i heard they flow fine pnp or no? with arp head studs.
stock bottom end
cheap header want new ones any suggestions?
AEM cold air intake
hondata s200

well thats what i have already done to the car and it runs great but i want more now. what should i do should i build the bottem end for nitrous or is my goal obtainable with little to no shot? what about individual throttle bodies and if so any suggestions? and ive heard CTR pistons would really help me out by raising the compression significantly and if so how is that on the block? well thats all i got try to get back to me on this i want 300+ hp and im ready for it haha well thanks guys i would appreciate it alot

kyle

go forged pistons like je,cp,wisco,or my favret aires all high commpreson. only qustion daily driver or graged till race day.if dd dont go over 12.5;1 if over race gas or do the2,0 strocker and the head sounds good. and i would do a pnp like 50 thosends over. oh yeah egale h beam rods and sleaves and the crank will hold up. that is my opinon but it will probily wont hit 300whp maby 200

its gonna be a daily driver for sure and so what your telling me is that for 300whp i am going to have to use bottle? i dont mind it but cuz i know hondas love juice but i was just hoping to not use it but i will if i have to. oh and i just bought a new itr tranny i think im gonna like it a lot haha got it for 500 too buddy had an extra and needed money.

and i just ordered a bisimoto header thanks for the suggestion. but what about individual throttle bodies, and suggestions on that i am going to get one just which one?

and i was wondering if im gonna use like a 100 shot then do i really need to sleave the block or can i get away with just rods and pistons or what about getting my bottom end posted?

well you can run a stock sleeve on the bottle but it is hard on them and it wont last that long. i was saying sleave because you blow a stock sleeve there gos a lot of time and money that you just spent on that motor. and i would go with a 125 shot for a little extra just in case.and on the itb toda make a wiked setup.so yes you will have to run the bottle

My buddy just put them in his built LS/Vtec...

The X Forge pistons are a lot lighter and stronger...they just came out about 6 months ago...check out CP website...

so i did not end up getting the eagle 4340 instead i went ahead and dropped in the jun 87.2mm crankshaft i got a deal on it is the only reason it was purchased picked one up for 2000. and the even better part of my morning was running across a 2.0 liter dart block haha. i was so pumped about it my buddy has had it and not using it and he practically stole it so i paid 800 yeah thats right 800 bucks. however i did go over my budget but just barely and ive got everything i need. i had to buy that block and crank the crank lists at 4200 and the dart block is 2300 and i paid 2800 for both who could pass that up if they had the money. i picked up some toda racing 83mm high compression pistons (they will work right i wouldnt see why not they are made for the type r). and i got spoon sports connecting rods.

so final build looks like this:
bottom end:

dart 2.0 block
jun 87.2 mm crank
toda 83mm high compression pistons
spoon sports rods
Toda hi power clutch
Today racing flywheel
ACL race bearings
bisimoto header
99 jdm ITR 4.7fd tranny

head:
crower 404 cams
stage 3 springs and retainers
crower valves
super lite race rockers
cometic 81.5 head gasket
3 angle valve job

fuel and ignition:
Toda racing individual throttle bodies
AEM fuel rail
AEM fuel pressure regulator
MSD Sci-L sport compact ignition
NOS 150 shot (why not dart block haha)

arp head studs, main studs, flywheel bolts, rod bolts
Tein coilovers, innovative traction bars
rota GT3 red rims(nice jdm look)

so what you guys think? i think its gonna be way faster than my old evo 9 mr and dont have to worry about my tranny falling apart haha. can i still get that 12k rpm with a 2 liter block?

kyle

That headgasket won't work. You got 81.5mm when you stated you got a 83mm piston. Gotta get another one. What size injectors are you using? Overall good deal on the stuffs. :super

ok all you said was toda high compression pistons. Do you know the comp. ratio? Upgrade the fuel pump, looking at the other setup i would at least do 310cc -440cc injectors. You can get a 83mm cosmetic headgasket.

12.8:1 comp ratio and thanks for the suggestion on the injectors i think with the ITB setup i will go with the 400cc injector, i think the 400 is the best idea.
