I dont see why you couldn't. The higher compression in the Z block with the PHK pistons could make a nice combination, TERRIBLE gas mileage though LOL. I don't think you'd have to rev any higher to really make power either.

You have a p8r head, right? omfg I would THINK that would make alot of power

No i have a DHR PR4 PnP head. I'm going to run a 2 layer headgasket and maybe have the head milled too.

I had Crower 404s on my stock B20Z2 and it ran fine but did get bad gas mileage. So yes it will work fine with a stock bottom end.

Do you have to run cam gears with 404s?

Not really but if you want to play around with them then it's good to have a set of cam gears

should run fine on low grade ;)

the b20z requires a knock sensor to run on low grade from the factory so keep in mind you dont have one of those now but the large cam profile should bleed off a bit of compression. if i remember correctly, using dynamic compression with those cams your about the equivelant of 9:1 with stock cams.
