I don't know if anybody is having any trouble with their auto to manual swap. This is related to my other posts about my engine not revving properly and drinking mad gas. My car was originally automatic, but I converted it to stick. I currently still have the automatic shifter in the car (which I need to start the car). The thing is the car was revving properly before I swapped out the engine to an ls vtec than to an ls. The ls vtec with a auto p28 (obd1) wasn't revving all the way, but was getting about 22-25 mpg and now the b18b with a manual p75 (obd1) is getting 18-20 mpg. Also the b18b1 still won't rev to 7k (it only revs to 6200rpms) with the p75, but when I put in the auto p28 it revs to 6500. With my current setup there aren't any check engine lights and the car runs.

i have a 98 hatch auto to 5 speed swap with a auto engine harness then and obd1 jumper harness and a p75 ecu and i had a problem as well i had to redo the vacuum lines for obd1 engine.

obd1 motors have the pcv run between the runners on the manifold from a black box on the back of the block and obd2s are on the the valve cover, and the purge canister is different. i would double check the vacuum lines make sure the look like another stock obd1 car
hope this helps o and make the sure the selector is not going to move on u. i made that mistake

I removed that whole black box configuration though.

have u had the car tuned or on a dyno?
on the dyno u will be able to see if your stock tack is working properly or if its off by some rpms and a shop will be able to diagnose the problem from their.
my friends gsr swap coupe was off by 600 rpm on the top end.

i have a few questions for you as well 1)is the car obd1 or obd2 2)if obd2 do you have a jumper harness for the ecu 3)is your dizzy the same obd as the car/engine harness that your using

Okay, the distributor is an obd1 dizzy (I don't know whether or not if it is a vtec or nonvtec dizzy), the ecu is an obd1 dizzy so I don't have a ecu jumper harness. The engine harness is an obd2 harness, even when I had the obd2 dizzy the problem was there.

your problem sounds like the engine harness your car is a 94 and your are using a 96 and up harness the live and dead plugs in the harness are different. example the dizzy plug for obd1 and obd2 wire lay out. Image
if you dont have a Haynes manual you should get one it help a lot it has a picture of the plugs and where each wire goes and where the their are blank spots at. this alone will help you out. i may be wrong but not being able to go to red line could be do to some wroung wiring in the dizzy. it never hurts to check. o and if you get one i thank the one you want is the 94-01 integra one.

let me know if any of this works
