How can I tell which one I have. I see online the oil pumps have different part numbers. I do not have a head for it at the moment, just the block. So, whats the difference?

i believe the b18b is the 94-95 and the b18b1 is 96-01... the only thing that i know is different is in 96', honda gave all b series motors the same type of oil pump (including vtec motors)

Thanks. I thought if the motor doesn't have a number at the end then its a jdm motor? So basically the only difference is a washer on the plunger of the oil pump.

If it is a 94-95 usdm motor than it wont have a crank sensor by the crank but if it is a 96 up than it will have a crank sensor by the crank only on usdm motors.
