Looking to get the gReddy 13554507, but it says its for a b18b1, not a1? Any issues for putting it on a a1? Opinions?

I would think it wouldnt be a problem...like my buddy has a obd2 block and a obd1 head for his LS and he used a B18a timing belt and its fine...should be a difference

LS = b18b1 and b18a1, so youre good. also, this belt will work on the b20b and b20z since they use the same OEM belt to begin with!

just make sure its for the right water pump. B18A has 19T W/P 94-96 B18B has 19T W/P and 97+ B18B has 22T. If you have a newer one then any of the Vtec belts or nonvtec 97+ will work if not and you still want a belt buy a Vtec 22T W/P they aren't expensive and really help to move fluid in the upper RPM's.

I don't think so. Firstly, I purchased a 98 LS shortblock for my LSVTEC and it had a 19t pump on it...

Secondly... I looked up part numbers, the water pump from 94+ LS' is a P75 water pump, meaning its has 19 teeth

Yeah I've been told mixed things on that like the JDM motors are like that or that the B20's are the only ones like that, but the fact of the matter is the number of teeth is the most important thing. There are only 2 W/P types 19T and 22T. Both of my B20's had 22T's on them when I got them however I did get a B18B with a 19T.

I was merely talking about USDM motors.
