Im running a LS motor at the moment... and am trying to get some more power without going VTEC... cant afford cams or other internals at the moment... but i have these at my disposal at the moment... do you think the combination might work...

Pistons from a B16A (PR3) Higher compression compared to LS pistons
B18B1 Head and block (internally Stock)

ECU from a B16A ... inorder to cope with the higher fuel requirement of the higher compression pistons... and i would keep the Vtec line dissabled.

higher compression pistons will give you some pore power, do you have bolt ons? and also depending on what you want I think p30's will give you a bit higher compression, as for tuning, I think you would be better off getting a street tune atleast on crome or something instead of trying to run a stock ecu.

no matter what ecu you switch to it still isnt going to run correctly really without the tune.

The problem is... where i live i dont have a Dyno anywhere... and getting an aftermarket ECU will take some time... at best i can get a SARD fuel regulator and tune the car keeping the ECU stock for the time being... any suggestions?

this is a fairly slow forum, so you will have to be patient here, but as for not being able to get to a dyno - order an ecu from phearable.net with a basemap and find a tuner in your area to do a street tune.

You can swap the pistons in to get a higher compression. Having stock cams will hinder your full potential with the pistons and you will run into a problem with the tuning. The car will run but not efficiently without a street tune.
