Hey guys,
In the quest for upgraded valvetrain for my h23 head, I've come across a few different sources that sell 1 part number for both the b18a/b (sometimes b20b too) and the h23 head. Honda doesn't use the same part numbers, so I really don't know how else to cross reference the parts. Does anyone have a stock seat, spring, and retainer from said motors that I might be able to have or get really cheap? I'm curious if this really does swap. If anyone actually knows, that'd be better. I don't want to go raid a car at the junkyard.

I just ask because I'd guess there is more support for the non-vtec b-series than there is non-vtec h-series. Speaking of which, any recommendations on valvetrain if this is a feasable swap? My cams have .410" lift and 276* duration and my goal is a 7500 rpm redline.

Thanks,
Burt

No, I've never actually looked at a b18 anything. Or for that matter any b or d series motors. All the b-series I've ever seen are VTEC ones that have 20+ pounds of boost crammed into them or are completely stock.
F and H motors are what I deal with since I have preludes and an accords.

Actually, I take that back about never messing with B-series stuff. I've had to deal with the b20a/b21a1 from the 88-91 prelude that has absolutely nothing to do with the b-series the rest of the honda community uses.
