b18a/b vs b20. My question is which one of these nonvtec motors is better to beat on and still daily drive? I know the b20's have more torque and the b18's have more hp excluding the b20z but doesn't the b18's rev higher? With all that said which one is better?

i'd say an ls motor unless you have a b20 with a blockguard. The b20's cylinder walls are caca... Well thats my assumption.

I heard that too, b20s have thin walls and are known for cracking.

honestly the b20 walls are fine for a all motor build...i have a b20 vtec stock block reving it to 9k and its fine

So is the b20 more powerful than the b18?

^ a lot of these questions that you are asking depends on so many things...if every single part inside each of these is the same (only difference is bore size) then the b20 should make more power because it displaces more. the horsepower and tq should be more

Thanks for clearing that up for me. When I researched it The b18 was rated higher hp but not tq.
