im building a b18a bottom end with gsr crank,rods, pistons,oil pump, oil feed, water pump, pretty much complete gsr in a1. some say it will raise compression to more than the what the c1 already has. of course minus vtec. just wantin ideas on my top end. and what i should do to the head for this type of application. it will be vtec ready. but i want the none vtec route. any help will work. thanks :D

Even with GSR compression, you're not going to make GSR power. You're still crazy restricted up top. Send your head and get a p/p and you'll be on your way :wink:

yeah i aint dreamin of gsr power. am lookin for more power than stock which im sure ill get. just going for a cheap all motor route. just dont know what to do top end wise. i know all the tricks for a vtec head. every body around here builds them daily. but never has any one around here built a non-vtec head. so thats why i want to do it. thanks for the info on were to look at my compression. the head is already ported and polished. but nothing else.no valves springs retainers. just empty. thanks :D
