same topic anyone got advise on a setup? 94 civic 4 dr, B18a1 internal setup for bottom end? just wondering what my options are. i was wondering if i use new pistons would honing the cylinder walls be enough or should i just have it bored out to 81.5 mm? thx in advance!!!!!!

Stock bottom end can hold up. Depends on how much boost you gonna do.

I would sleeve the block, while at it , throw in forge rods and pistons. If it was me i would go ahead and do 85mm bored piston since the block is sleeved.

i aint got the money to sleeve it right now im on kinda of a budget i got about three grand to work with at this point

sleeving cost about $850-1200 shipped forge rod and piston about $500-$700, bottom end bearing and thrust washer depending on brands $150-$250. All your seals $150-$250, balance, blue print, and micropolish crank $150-$275. That's still under 3k, but those are estimated prices, you should be able to get the parts cheaper. Your labor putting it together free or other shop $500+ .
