 Post subject: b18a1turbo,what should i do to prepare my motor

i want to get max hp out of my motor.what should i do if i want a reliable daily driven b18a thats turbo'd. its going to be put in a crx hf.88 the lightest one in that gen.i have ls rods with arp rod bolts.what would be my C/R with gsr pistons?

your compression would not be high enough...get p30 pistons and mill the head, with a big cam and you should be set

Isn't a low compression ratio good for turbo applications?

yea i didnt read ur post all the way...honestly you could just boost a stock ls around 7lbs daily and 10lbs at the track...ls motors will hold 300whp if you have a good tune.

well the pistons in there are a little beat.and i have some fresh gsr pistons on ls rods with arp rod bolts.

thats fine...the compression might be a lil high but with a good tune it will have good results

compression doesnt mean anything with a good tune like stated before youll be ok. im going to be running 10.5.1 next year on my B18B

comp ratio should be 9.6:1 with gsr pistons.
