head: upgrade valvetrain (spring and retainer), throw in a set of crower 404's

I've got $2000 in my head alone... you aren't going to get a lot of horses out of it for that measily of a budget.

Yeah I thought that wouldn't be enough but i can bump it to 4g's,but i'm cheap. To save little i can get the top end worked on at work(napa) for like 600 bucks but the block i want to re-sleeve and thats not cheap. But could I just bore it out a bit so i an slap a turbo on later or should pay a bundle to get er' re-sleeved?

i wrote this while i was hi :huhu

I would rather drop the money just to make sure its done right the first time. Cutting corners to save money may get you where you want for now, but it all catches up to you eventually. But thats just me.....

You will not get a lot of horses out of a n/a build and still be a really good d.d. Builds cost money, and thats if you do it yourself. If you want a d.d. and want a larger hp gain then go with a turbo setup. You could piece a decent one together and put it on for less than $4000. You would have to tune it and not run over 7 psi. There is a lot of work involved. If you want to go all motor (considering you have an intake, header, and exhaust already) here is your list...
Adjustable Cam gears
Crower 403's or 404's (404's are larger but not as good a d.d.)
Dual Valve Springs
p30 pistons, rods
Fuel Pressure Regulator
skunk2 or blox Intake manifold
Bored throttle body
hondata s100 with Tune

That will keep you under budget but just keep in mind simple things such as gaskets and all those fun things.
