great... I found some that are already shotpeened with ARP hardware already press fitted for $150 I think I'll jump on it as well as a crank that's been micropolished for $100.

Still trying to find a block with the baffle, crank seal cover, caps and pulley for a decent price though...

As well as getting info on a conversion harness for obdII to obdI.

Going with OEM instead of ACL bearings to get the proper clearance.

Also sourced an ITR water and oil pump with 10k on them so their still new I think I may jump on those too.

Wow after reading this again, I'm surprised how much of a noob I was and probably still am. :lol: I sold the head and have yet to start over on this build but I'm still doing a b18b1. I did a few track events this past year and I had to put suspension ahead of motor since my car was practically falling apart in the bushings deparment. All new hardrace bushings where sourced and I pressed those in. The difference is night and day. It was hard putting the motor aside for suspension but I have to say it was well worth it. Not only did I change all bushings but I also bought all brand new bearings, front tie rods and sway bar brackets & bushings aswell.

One thing I'd like to clear up for the motor build. Does anyone know if I could use the smaller GSR rod bearings on LS rods?

Meanwhile I have updated the OP with my newly revised plans after a year of research! :super

I'd also like to figure out exactly what cams to go with. BC 0022 to keep it simple but could I successfully use BC 0023s with a 11.5:1 CR and 91 Oct? Or do the Stge 3's require race fuel 100 Oct and higher CR to use their true potential?

on my build i used acl bearings and they work fine. i also used the stage 3 cams with p30 piston for daily use on 91 oct. gas. full potential you could use 12.5 CR and a p&p head on 91 to 93 oct. gas. hope this helps some

Thanks for the response, I did'nt know that could be done with 91 octane. Something to consider, sounds like it'll be a pretty intense nonvtec at stge 3. :livre
