I just bought a 94 civic dx coupe with a b18b1 in it. I checked the ecu and it says p06 which is the stock civic motor. Could this be the problem the motor is stuttering at low rpm's. Doesn't do it all the time, mainly between 1000 and 3500 rpm's at 4000 it takes off. And it seems to stutter more when the car heats up. I just changed the spark plugs and there are new spark plug wires. I was told it might need a valve adjustment. I really don't know. Please answer back.

P06 is for D16 and D15 nonvtec single slams. Although you can convert them over to Vtec fairly easy. Actually you can run a B18 nonvtec on an LX single cam P06 and pic up around 8-10 extra horses. It leans out a bit and makes more power. Pretty cheap simple upgrade unless you're going boost then it might be Kaboom!

nah but the b18b1 is non vtec, i'm thinkin if i put the ls teggy ecu in there it wont stutter in the early rpm's, it'll just take off like it does at 4000, instead from the jump. cause right now it acts like it wants to go, but it's not gettin enuff power to till 4 grand. and the p06 is set to redline early. So it's like i'm only gettin about 3000 rpms worth of ls power. If neone knows if this is caused by the ecu let me kno cause i heard phearable.net is good. I'll order one quick

I would start with the obvious first, that being the ECU. Then if that doesnt solve the problem start checking other things, like timing for one.

Thats what I was saying the LX ecu, which is a PO6, will lean out the mixture and can cause a stutter.
