Let me add to this that there is one BIG difference between say an LS head and a B20 head.

LS = 81mm and combustion chambers to match.
B20 = 84 or 84.5mm (whatever) and combustion chambers to match.

In short....will it work, yes. Do you have to change things up in either the cylinders and pistons or the head and combustion chambers??? YES!!! It's NOT a real direct bolt on.

No. You're wrong.

Well you're wrong. Most B20's had P75 heads. P75's are LS heads as well.

then what is the pr4 i though that was the head on all ls motors i have a bone stock ls motor with the pr4 head

For the record, I'm officially out of this one. My confusion has ended. I'm sorry if I confused and/or frustrated anyone. As stated in one of my first posts, this is my first LS motor so I'm pretty much just a noob on the non vtec motors myself.

PS: I can't believe this thread is still alive.

I am surprised this is still alive as well, but to clear the air again if there is still any confusion I currently drive my car and run spray on an ls with a b20, p75 stamped head ... it runs great ...
