Hello every1, I just recently put in my B20b motor and I have decided to turbo.

Now my 1st question is, what head should I use for my B20 block for a turbo setup? Remind you, I am keeping it non-vtec (preference wise, although vtec would be nice ;) )

2nd - prefering to keep a/c & ps in. Now what type of manifold should I use to keep these accessories?

Looking to get around 200hp-240hp. Anything would help. Thanks everyone.

ps. Include anything else that I would need for the build if you would like

#1 thing is if you are turbo'ing any boosted honda motor, get a really good tune...the b20 cylinder walls are thinner than most b series motors so they are more prone to cracking under stress...

as far as the non vtec head...if you can source a P8R head from a b20Z they have bigger intake, exhaust valves and have better flow - they are rare to come by though

if you want to keep ps and ac, i would go with a log manifold so clearance will not be an issue

also get a good engine management system that someone locally can tune (hondata, neptune etc..) you will also need bigger injectors with with turbo kit for more fuel...

do you have a turbo kit in mind or one you already bought?

I've been actually tryna source the P8R head but its hard to find. But if that doesn't work, can't I just throw in a B16 or B18 head?

As far as the manifold. I've been researching. Will the cast manifold be a good choice also to keep in A/C & PS?

And for the turbo, Garrett T3/T4. Not sure what exact model to get though.

if you throw on a vtec head (b16) you will need to buy even more stuff to do the ls/vtec conversion... as far as the manifold...i would run a cast log manifold...it is the smallest type so you can fit ac & ps, but you will sacrifice some power

for a turbo, a t3/t4 is a good choice...really depends on how much u wanna spend...a great turbo is a garrett gt28rs (disco potato) but they are like 1100 a piece

Well I can actually throw in a B16 or B18 non-vtec head.

For my turbo, my spending cap is going to be $1500. Just turbo alone. Cooling and etc will be a different budget :-D

theres alot of info left out of this thread..

Im a noob on this site.. but have a boosted B20B P8R laying 12's..

the B20B have the P8R head.. not the Z or Z2 <, those are USDM blocks, but have a better CR then the japanese models..
You really need to look at the pistons to see what model you have.. PHK are the higher comp pistons at 9.6:1 and the PR3 are lower @ 8.8:1

fuel pump, 550cc inj, as for the turbo.. look at a compressor map and find your HP goal..

remember, smaller will spool sooner, larger will be later.. so you want to stay somewhere in the middle and keep in the efficiency range

57 trim would be my choice..
