As you all can see I am new to the forum... So I'm getting a nice check in the near future, what would you all recommend for a mint 90k mile 91 integra GS?? My plan is to get a stg 2 or 3 clutch and 8lb flywheel, wideband a/f meter, and full 2.5" exhaust for sure, I have headers and an intake already. Then I'm not sure whether to get an intake manifold and 68mm throttle body then go with some bc stg2 cams soon down the road, or setup a CF progressive nitrous system.. What would it require to be tuned with the first setup? Can I tune on the stock ECU with OBD0??? I know everything mechanical, but am new to EFI, and am lost with all this ignition crap. What kind of power gains would I see? Everyone says on a stock bottom end you are really limited to +50hp over stock... Or would it be more beneficial to me to run nitrous just so when I want to race someone or go fast I have it? With nitrous I know exactly how to tune myself, it's pretty simple.lol What I don't know is how much spray time would a 10lb bottle give you with lets say a 75 shot on one of these cars?
-----So next, what upgrades would I need for either one of my possible routes?? Such as will my stock injectors, and fuel pump work with the IM,TB,Cam? Thank you all so much for helping a new member!!!! KyleB7

i have no nitrous experience but my friend has a 96 ls with a 50 shot stock everything but exhaust and AEM intake and stage 2 clutch no tune, and it runs just fine for the last year and half that he has had it and spraying it.
just for info he runs around a 14.4 sec 1/4 at around 97mph

With a 10lbs bottle you will get about 10 races with I think a 50 shot. The best thing you can do is invest in a good bottle warmer w/ thermostate. If the pressure is low in the bottle the nitrous wont hit the engine as fast. So you want the PSI in the bottle at or about 900. The thermostate will regulate when its to hot or cold. With a 50 shot you will be fine on a stock engine and map. You will make more power with tuning but you are obd0. So you cant use hondata unless you go with an obd1 conversion.

I ran a 75 dry shot on my ls and it took it really well. I got tired of running out of the bottle and the consistancy wasnt great. So, I went with a turbo. I would recommend going with a s/c kit from jackson racing for the same type of power band.

I do not recommend the blower... the intake temps are through the roof - and for the money you are spending on the SC I'd rather go turbo.

As far as your question, I'd go nitrous - I have been spraying for 15 years. My BONE STOCK LS made 201hp and 172tq on a wet 85 shot UNTUNED on the stock pr4 computer. It made this power despite being PIG rich. That was also w/out a heater.

Go nitrous for the bang but do tune it, more reliability. A supercharger on a 4 banger is like putting an elevator in an outhouse, it just don't belong. Nitrous will not be as reliable as just internal work but it is all up to you. I went for just head work when I had my ls and it was a nice kick but I needed reliability as well.

Ya superchargers are huge heat sinks lol. I was seeing 175 ish IAT on a gsr with a highboost jrsc kit on it. He got a screaming deal so he used it. As long as you have a respect for nitrous and have it tuned (or pull some timing yourself just to be safe throught the dizzy) you shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure your kit is in good working order and don't slack on the fuel.
