I had a B20 with a B16 tranny and at 65 on the highway I'd be turning around 4500rpm. So the GSR tranny would have to be a bit better than that seeing as its got a bit longer gears.

How much you think i could get an ITR tranny for? I been looking on craiglist and ebay but they go to expensive. As far as gsr tranny you could find them for cheap.

I used to have B16 on mines and I got tired after a while,so I found me a deal for a 2000 itr and Imm pretty happy with it.

What else could I ask for,I got my b16 tranny for free and then I traded it for the itr and 300 on top,it doesnt get better than this

Aren't the ITR and B16 tranny gear ratios the same? Or isn't the 00-01 ITR tranny have even shorter gearing than B16?

Pretty sure it has something to do with the final drives.

So then the ITR would have lower cruising RPM?

So i finally bought a gsr tranny and installed it 3 days ago....honestly i felt very little improvement. Leaving me thinking that i should have bought a b16 tranny instead (y1 or so) . "BUT" considering that i drive 5 days a week on the highway for +-30 minutes back and forth i guess it's convenient. Since i have an act 4 puck clutch and a 8lb fidanza flywheel all i got left to do is to get a lsd.

The GSR trans and the LS trans are both S80 trans. I have a S80 on my b18b and at 65 mph my rps are at 3000. The B16 and TypeR have a really short ratio and will be around 4500 rpms at 65 mph.
