well im starting to get all my basics i/h/e..

already got intake just need to change filter k&N

rite now my car is obd2 im gonna send my phearable ecu to phearable so they can re program it with my engines settings (b18b1)
so that means im gonna be practically obd1..

im also on a deal on some DC headers used for 150 sound good??

im probally gonna throw in my gutted catalytic converter ..??

i have another question if i do the jumper harness to obd1 does that mean if i install my gutted catalytic converter cel wont show??

and any other recomendations??

the cel shouldnt show if you convert it to obd1

check the header up and down to make sure nothing is wrong with it. 150 sounds like a decent deal if they are in good condition.

you're not OBD1 unless you convert. My understand obd2 ecu's can not be chipped/socketed so the only option you have is to properly convert to OBD1.

yeah well im converting to obd1 with a jumper harness so the cel shouldnt turn on... i need to send my obd1 ecu to phearable though probally next week ill be obd1 with the gutted cat, DC headers, and exhaust...

u think ill feel i bit more power from them 3 things im doing?

haha Brian has a way of giving it straight. You are just putting down the basics. At least it will sound better. You are not really doing anything for more power to your motor. You will really only start to feel power when you put in at least a set of cams.

and also, if you are dead set on getting your ecu reprogrammed, don't send the ecu back to phearable, just get someone to burn you a new chip and put it in the socket. its very easy to do and a stock p75 map will most likely do best for you because you really have not modified the car heavy enough to need a tune.

gutted cats drop your hp and tq compared to stock... i believe it was super street who did an article on this.

yeah,i read that as well,ur better off leaving the stock cat on untouched,try a bigger cat or just get a high flow.
