 Post subject: Bought new motor need some help!

ok.. I bought a 93 hatchback with no wheels or interior or basically front end, the car still has to be hauled back to kentucky from florida. But anyways today i bought a d17 nonvtec from a 01 civic. I have a d16z6 vtec head in my closet and looking to mate it with the d17 block. I almost positive this will not work but i just wanted to make sure. Also I take it that the motor is an OBD-2? since its an 01 but im not totally positive, what ECU do i need to use? Thanks for any help you guys can give me! :D

Def. obd2 your gonna have to buy a conversion harness or make one and an obd1 chipped ecu. i would advise buying one MUCH easier, been down that road. i'm pretty sure your gonna be needin a mount kit also.

yea, you could run the obd2 motor as obd1, you just wont be plugging in all the sensors
