Hi guys;
first time posting on this board, but been on h-t forever. recently purchased a 97 integra LS, and i'm already starting to plan out what to do with it. i'll start listing the parts i already have, and i'm also open to your opinion and suggestions!

Parts I already have:
- 98 Spec ITR 4-1 Header
- SMSP 300 cell cat
- 01 USDM ITR Exhaust
- 01 USDM ITR Throttle Body (bored to 65mm)
- Short ram air intake
- Buddy Club Cams Gears
- Buddy Club Head gasket
- Stock Block (will not spend $ on this section)
- Stock LS manifold (will not spend $ to replace it)


Need your input:
- Head: does all non-vtec head the same?
- Cams: seems like crower is the only way to go, 402 a good choice?
- Valvetrain: will buy those crower chromoly retainers + crower valvesprings
- Valves: worth the money to run flat face valves? or just leave it w/ stock valves?
- Headgasket: i already have a new buddy club head gasket, which will add slight compression, but is it worth it?

Thanks guys! in case, you are wondering why i have some of those parts around, b/c they are left over from my ITR build.

well not all non-vtec head are the same. the head alot of people seem to cherish is the P8R head which is as close to having vtec without having it. My assumption would be that since you are not touching anything inside the block you are Staying N/A. if you are staying that way then for cams people tend to get the 403 or 404's. but you could get a thicker head gasket to up the comp a little bit. you could even, as far as cams, look for some ITR's which are very strong and have been used in high HP motors before.

am i 100% sure no, but i am pretty sure i have read somewhere either on the old nonvtec.com or some Honda forum that it can be done.

most deff not... go ahead and try and lay a vtec cam into a non vtec cam journal....

anyway the p8r head has same size valves as a vtec head and larger ports than a p75 so thats why its "sought after" buy non vtec guys but you basically have to use it on a 84mm bore or higher motor :( because the chamber is opened up to 84mm from the factory.

as far as the other 2 heads there are pr4 and p75, both are identical except for the cams they come with and intake port size, p75 heads have parger ports (but still smaller than p8r wich is smaller than vtec ports)
