Port and polished, three angle valve job, decked b16 head. Skunk valvetrain, springs retainers flat faced valve stems. When i pulled the head off my block I noticed rust spots in cylinder 4 and some scoring throughout. I had the motor sitting for 2 weeks before I pulled the head. I plan to get good cams and cam gears. I need help on building a block. I would like to keep it a sleeper. Should I build my B16a block or should I go B20 block? What components do you recommend? I want a street/track daily driver. I'm shooting for 230 to 300 HP all motor. Thanks.

get the b20 block, the amount of torque difference between the b20 and b16 is a lot. I have a b20 vtec (stock block) with stunk2 valvetrain/pro 1 cams and all the bolt ons...the compression is around 9.6:1 and i made 200whp (230ish crank) and it makes power to 9K

A b20 block has about 30-40 percent more torque than a b16 block. That translates to faster power engagement from a stand still.
