-drive to where you wanna do the burnout at

-pull the e-brake up

-push the clutch in and rev it up to about 5000rpms

-drop the clutch and feather the throttle so that the tires keep spinning but you're not banging off the rev limitter

-after you feel that your tires are warmed up enough, release the e-brake and back off the throttle

-pull up to the line and cut a mad crazy fast light

. . . best of luck

exactly what he said ^. My best advice for first timers is..

Your first ever time will disapoint you b/c you probable will only be able to drive SO good. Racing at the track is NOTHING like racing on the street (cough wouldnt know cough). At least to me it seems hella different.

alright thanks guys. ill try agian in May. yea i did feel like i sucked at the track.
my reaction time was good but shifting suck. i guess it took
me forever to get into gear. ok this might make me look stupid
or me not knowing my car but at the track I only was running like
14.5-14.7 et at the track in the 1/4 mile and my friend was running
like 13.4.-13.6 all day in my car. i couldnt get my tires to hook on the track
but some how my friend could. but like you guys said he been racing
at the track more time then i been. so hoping to improve this coming up season.

Yeah, it all depends . . . I personally have to build boost (using a sort of 'anti-lag' which is basically just using the two-step) and drop the clutch out to get 25x8.7" slicks spinning well
