I am getting ready to start an all-motor B20 build and I am planning on using the RS Machine 84.5mm "ITR Spec" pistons on stock LS rods. My question is what would be the biggest cam I could run while using that piston? Any input would be helpful. Thanks

if your compression is around 11.5 or higher...you could run the crower stage 3's prolly

according to a compression calculator and the info on the pistons it should be between that and 11.8 BUT I didnt know if I could still run that big of a cam due to the fact that the piston's dome isnt as "big" I guess you would say as like a 11.5:1 forged piston like JE or CP. I hope that made since lol.

usually forged pistons have bigger valve pockets for offset the higher compression... i dont really see it as a problem... a lot of ppl have run those cams on even higher compression motors.

i mean run stage 2's if you wanna be safe, but with that high of a compression i bet stage 3's would result in a higher HP output

you can always have a machine shop make the pockets widers/deeper by machining the piston pockets
