iam confused about the cams on the b18b
if i got with stage 1 crower cams, or even stage 2
not looking for massive gains on my daily driver just want more pick up and go...
not looking to rev past stock rev limiter.... will i still have to get springs and etc.
i have heard on ht that you have to replace the stock springs retainers and etc... why would i if iam not exceeding the rev limiter... can anyone shed some light?

You only need to upgrade your valve train when you start reving to high or you have high lift cams. You don't have to worry about upgrading your valvetrain with the 402's & stock rev limit.

while stage 1 cams dont require new valvesprings, they are recommended just FYI

Keeping the rev limit at 6800-7200 with stock valve springs will be fine with either stock cams or 402s

just to let ya know...i had 402's in my car and i made power till about 7800...so you might want to get better springs/retainers just so you can take advantage of the power

Timing belt just broke while cruising?

If that is the case. I would think that if changing your timing belt before it became an antique was too hard, doing an engine swap would be far from straight forward.
