Buying a civic dx 5 speed. Been checking out information on building my d15a7. I have entensive experience with dometic v-8's and a few sixes. I have found, compression that compression increase yields substantial gains. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can build your engine and increase compression but you will only achieve about 160 whp tops. If you lower compression and slap on a turbo you will get around 190 whp. Is this going to be your daily driver? or is this going to be a track car.

Car will be my daily driver. Traded my '90 Prelude Si for the Civic. It has less miles, a/c works, and no oil leaks. Pleased so far. Not as powerful as the Prelude, and with less "bells and whistles"; but i'm not Mr.Fancy Pants anyway.
Looking to do a mild build. Unfortunately, I no longer have the facilities to pull and replace an engine, or i would have kept the Prelude. Can do: Intake, Exhaust, Head work & tuning. Seems that some head swapping yeilds conciderable compression gains!!!

Thanks,
Jack
