That clip that you kept referring to as a resistor box, is called a dead end cap. I agree with 4sd4dr about which model came with the resistor box. check your wiring and the ecu jumper harness, make sure the pin outs are right.

I've heard some stories about those ebay jumpers being complete shit with the wiring going to the wrong pin and such. Hopefully you (88ls4drking) bought a decent one though.

well i stated that it might be called something else. and it just turned into a fuss about resistance. if i knew it was called a dead in cap i would have called it that. instead of being corrected. we had a little honda-tech feud. but thanks for telling me the proper name of it. SO i have a obd-2 dead end cap. and i did change to my obd-1 injectors yesterday. car runs cleaner. but still the 41 code.i havent driven it enough to see if my gas milage is any better. really thought about taking car back to obd-0. but i also agreed with him on what he was saying. i was just trying to explain the box to him and was just pretty much told it didnt exist. its plain and simple that obd-1up is high resistance. and obd-0 is not. my 3 month old son knows that......but back to the jumper it didnt blow this code in my teg. but is in the civic.

That what typically happens when you're not using the correct name of something.

Anyway, have you tried to uh trace the O2 heater wiring? If not, stop trying to trouble shoot until you do.

I don't sit around and study, I'm far from a "Honda God". There are just things I know and things I don't, If I know the answer, I'll help if I don't I usually don't say anything. PS - Get over the "resistor box" thing.

You didn't find any cracks or anything? Might sound stupid, but check the pins at the plug. I had a similar issue, but it was with a wire @ my distributor harness, it kept popping out making me get a code 9... so I ziptire the harness and it stopped. Hmm, you also said you tried switching to a known good O2, right? If not, that might be a good thing to try. Is your ECU socketed/chipped?

So, I would if I were you

Check the O2 Plug for loose/cracked wires
Replace O2 with a new or known good O2
Possibly disable the O2 if you're socketed on like Crome or Hondata.

same here like that name for that.

i have looked over the jumper. i dont see no breaks or broken pins. nothing wrong at all with it. i have went over three times as i did changing the o2. im about to just get ghetto and pull the check engine light out of the cluster. as for running rich. it seems not to be doing that anymore. and my ecu is stock. but i had plans of chipping it since im not going turbo for 8000 rpm. but thanks. i just dont know what to do for that code. and tired of trying to find it.

I'm not talking about the jumper harness, I'm talking about the wires the go from the O2 to the plug that plugs into your harness...

you said there are things you know and things you dont know. i said same here. for example the name of that blue box. i didnt know that.

then you said
I'm not talking about the jumper harness, I'm talking about the wires the go from the O2 to the plug that plugs into your harness...

i was saying that i went over all of it three times. once before i changed the o2. then both times i changed the o2. i went over every bit of it. the wires from the o2 to the harness. the jumper itself. all of it.
