I bought another head for my DA. Its another stock B18a with 100K on it. My car has a total of 179K on it. Did I make a good choice by buying this head for only $90 shipped? I have brian crower cams and cam gears to put in it. I will just throw them in and build it untill its done. What should I change in the head becides the cams and gears?? new valves?

I would replace the valve sprigns and retainers. as well as gaskets. $90 shipped is a good price.

I am definitely going to upgrade the valves, springs, seals, and retainers. Most likely going to end up buying, brand new valves as well. What should I buy after all that? I'm looking to get about 190-200HP from all motor. Maybe not it all depends.

Uh... I'd look into getting a set of flat faced valves. They raise compression. That and some better pistons, I doubt you're going to make 190 all motor on a stock block LS.

If I were you I'd...

Upgrade the valves (Ferrea), springs (Crower), retainers (Crower), basically rebuild the head. 3 or 5 angle valve job, new valve seats, guides all that shit.

This Power Pack comes standard with the following:
Full Race Ported H22 Cylinder Head
Dual Valve Springs
Titanium Retainers
3 Angle Valve Job
High Flow Racing Valves
Diamond Milled
Fully Assembled

Is this all worth $1300? and would this fit on my stock b18a block?

if that is an H22 head then it is not going to fit on your B series block.

Full Race Ported B18 LS Head
Dual Valve Springs
Titanium Retainers
3 Angle Valve Job
High Flow Racing Valves
Diamond Milled

I didnt buy that head. I still have my cams and my gears that i might just end up keeping and just buying a brand new B18a/B head and throw my cams in it.

Ok heres what I am going to do. I don't know if I told people on here if i was going ls/vtec or not but heres what i came up with. My brother just bought a GS-R today. Test drove, it bone stock. S L O W as balls. No tourqe what so ever. My DA with intake, header, fart can will romp on his car. I love the GS-R. After driving it Id rather build my non-vtec b18a. I feel that even if he builds his vtec motor up I still think my DA would take him down the strip. So what I am going to do is I found a website that is selling a...

Full Race Ported B18 LS Head
Dual Valve Springs
Titanium Retainers
3 Angle Valve Job
High Flow Racing Valves
Diamond Milled
Fully Assembled

I have the cams, and gears for to put in that. I'd also buy a skunk 2 intake mani, and throttle body. All I would need is tune up and id be set!

Yah, i love it too. How much HP and tourqe would I maybe be looking at with:

full race ported b18 ls head, cams, cam gears, dual valve springs titanium retainers, 3 angle valve job and high flow racing valves, skunk 2 intake mani and throttle body? and most likely b16a pistons? and of course a good tuning?
