I just bought a 1993 Civic Hatch and it has a D15 B7 motor. I was just wondering how i could build the motor so that i could outrun a simply built D16 Z6 (v-tec) with no problem at all. Ive heard you could use other parts from other motors but i have no idea what parts to use. Could someone give me some info on how to build this motor.

For the most part all d15 and d16 parts can be swaped around the d17 on the other hand is a nother story the only real def. between the to is that the d15 has smaller rods but pistons, heads, intakes, headers can all be swaped even the e.c.u. can be swaped between some

any way you want to hunt vtecs here are some ops.

a new intake manifold like a skunk2 or a little cheaper a stock d16y8 or
you can take your stock intake and have it bord to take a b18/b20 throdle body all so a set of d16a6 (ZC) pistons have a .200 dome and will bump up your comp. you can all so use the cam shaft from the d16a6 and if you can send you head off to get port and palished and a ex tranny will give you closer shift points + all the other crap like cold air, headers, exs. exs.

you shoud have no prob.
