just wanted to know if anybody has ran ctr pistons with a non vtec head with out any clearence issues because my new build i wanted to try this for more compression i done p30 and type r before but never ctr i personally liked the arias 81mm 11"s but want to try the ctr any input would be great if none will try and do the measuring and claying myself

just make sure you clay your motor.....some have run in to problems and some have not

honestly i wouldnt "try" it and hope it works..the last thing you want is to build a motor, see that the pistons dont work, and then have to re-do everything...if you want high compression (12:1 or so) i would just buy some pistons from CP/Arias/JE etc... spend the extra money knowing that it is not gonna give you any hassles...

yah i built engine before with the jdm p30 and itr's my personal favorit was the arias 11.5 81mm just wanted to do the ctr's just wanted to know if anybody has tryed it before ill rebuild the engine i guess i will go with the arias pistons plus the forged pistons will make it be easier to go ha ha juice in stead of cast

really u didnt have any clearence issuse piston to valve nothing i'm not milling the head and plan on a oem head gasket but if i mill the head it wont be much will i still have clearence

I didn't mill the head. I just resurface it. And i did use the oem head gasket. How much you plan on milling?

i'm just going to resurface it like u did and use the oem head gasket if u had to guess what was your comp with the ctr's around 12.1 is this correct and what cams u have with the comp that high was going to do 404's and smooth out the idle with the tune
