you could boost on that car...and get like 200whp outta it... 225whp-250whp is approaching the limit of a stock d series

Not really worth while boostin a D15....I assume it's a D15B7 by "non VTEC", for about $500 you can snag a D16ZC and pull 125hp, then boost or a Mini Me swap...IMO

D15 stock pistons and Cams can't handle being boosted, it'll kill your engine pretty fast

if its your first project i say start slow if u try to much right off u may get in over your head do the basics just to start like a header, cold air intake, new plugs & wires, a short throw shifter stuff of that sort and you can all ways go back and go bigger and better

p.s.
that was my first civic to and i loved that car i had so much fun iv owned 7 hondas to date

hey thanks for all the advice, i just recently swapped for a zc sohc now it runs around 110 hp, with 4 to 1 headers, short ram intake, magnaflow catback exhaust and short throw shifter, but i have an od problem, i took the car out for a wipe, then i think the water pump went because all my antifreeze leaked out, so i fillled it up agian, went for another wipe, but the antrifreeze is still full? , soo uhh do i change the water pump anyway, and if so should i go staight to doing a mini swap? car still feels a little slow, any other suggestions cams maybe? forged pistons? d16 pistons, kudos

well befor u go that far pull back on the timing chin cover and start the car let it heat up and watch the water pump to see if it is the pump i thout i had the same problim on my 92 4dr but it was a warped head it could be that or a blown head gaskit, bad freaze plug, hole in the line, hole in the over flow tank

just start it up and watch to see if its the water pump it should over heat in 10-15min enay way if it is....

and watch your fan to make sher it works
