i just bought a jdm d15b daul vtec but i had a d16 vtec in my car before till one of the rods went through the block ... so instead of changin the ecu or changin the head of the d15 could i just change the vtec solenoid because the ecu is already set up for the vtec solenoid already

if the jdm d15 is vtec it should already have a vtec solenoid on it

yea but it doesnt look like the same clips that are already on my wire harness so i would like to see if i could put the d16 vtec solenoid on there because the bolt wholes and everything matches up and its already setup for that solenoid

no don't do it. your cam profile has a 3 stage profile. nothing like the single stage vtecs. ur motor came off from a civic ferro or viso something like dat. don't know exactly how to spell there name. does your motor look like this. thats my motor but sold the car to buy a van. miss my car.

I would more trying to research if u can depin just the plugs and switch those out for the one that u need, u can do it with a paperclip.
