i have a d16y7.
i know i know...

i do NOT wanna do a vtec head swap or anything.

i want to have a super budget build so im upgrading little parts that create just a bit of power.

so far i have y8 intake manifold, ls tb (no sure if its a upgrade), DC sport exhaust manifold and a 3" intake.

i was looking to change out the cam soon.

i was wondering if i could get the cam off another d16 and swap it in to create a bit more power.

if so, which d16 cam should i be looking at?

tahnks in advance!!

Since your car is an OBD2 then getting another cam wont help out much unless your switch to obd1. Change your ecu first get a stage 1 or two cam, and get a tune with either CROME or Hondata to remap your fuel delivery system and points.

Nope does not work. Vtec rockers would still be inactive, that is if the cam even fits.

Check out Crower or Bisimoto. They may have cam for that motor. But as was said not tuning your not going to get much out of cams. If you have done a cat back exhaust start there. More power can be found by opening up the exhaust flow. I put a ground wire kit on my engine. 1-2 extra hp can be found from that sometimes to. Helps increase ignition spark by helping the system to ground better. Doing all the bolt ons and may be a cam then tuning is the best way to get more hp with out head work or increasing compression. IHE cam and tune= 20ish<>hp.
