Hello people, i have a Honda Civic 95 EX Coupe, with a engine D16Y5. My question is this car Rpm limit is 5,600rpm or goes farther? If it is how do i make it go over the limit. Also I know this is Vtech-E, at what rpm the Vtech-e goes active on this engine?

One more question do this car have the right engine? should it be a D16Z6 instead of D16Y5?

I think the redline is 7200rpm. 5600rpm is where the motor makes it's max Horsepower (115). It's should make it's max Tourque (104) at 4500rpm.

A 95 EX coupe should have a D16Z6. Swapped with an HX VTEC-E motor. VTEC for fuel efficiency, not power. I'm sure it's got some pep.

What tranny does it have?

D16Y5 is a 96-00 HX motor as stated above in the post.

Your 95 civic EX should have a D16Z6.
