Alright, b18a is in the del sol, i do not want to use the charcoal or any of that bs. so I have a roughly 2 or 3 vaccum lines to route. one comes frot he small black valve located at the top roight of the intake manifold, i havnt researched what this is yet, i have all but the line off the top hooked up. Is this line for raising rpms during shifts? does it run to the intake tube? i'm pretty sure. the other comes off the tb right at the top, i think i can just plug this or there is a line behind the motor that run with the brake lines, goes from metal to rubber. Is this form the gas tank or possible for heating vents. i thought most of the vent options were electrically controlled. diagrams and insight would be great.
any one tune there own car with dhrome or uberdata on here? ne idea where to start on the base program just to get idle with 404s?

Yes i'm in the learning process

if you guys want pics...let me know... :)[/i]

Well I went and looked at mine but im still not entirely sure about which set of hookups exactly your refuring too. Maybe a pic or two to clearify might just be in order. Also it depends on which manifold your using, there were some extra electronics on my obd2 manifold as opposed to my obd1 and obd0.

As far as the tune goes its going to be a bit difficult to really say, I know off the top of my head your going to want to look around in the bin files for pgmfi.org, and xenocron. But it I think most of the ones in xeno's library are boosted. Basicly you'll be looking for a 404 bin, there was one floating around here back in the day not real sure who had it.

Sorry im not more imidiate help. You'll want to get good vacuum though for your brake system.

Yeah thats what I figured you were talking about, I ran that line to the top of the canister for the charcoal because it was valved, meaning I could still build decent vacuum. Than the return line on the canister I just plugged.

If you wanted to avoid that alltogether you could just plug that one, or put a tee into the vacuum line for the fuel signal and just loop it in. As long as all the ends are tied up you should be fine, its just a reference signal.

Now it looks like Ill have to get motivated and go take some photos of mine to show what I mean.. damn .. well I need a new cold drink anyways.

Ok that should be your picture up there.
I'm not sure what you mean by the one coming from the firewall? The only vacuum line that comes out of the firewall, is the brake assist line. and thats not the one in your pic.

Heres a link to some of my photos from the engine bay:

It looks like I may actually have different electronics than you which is kinda odd.[/img]

Ported intake manifold
custom DH cam grinds

ok, so i'm trying to start my car, mods are listed. it has a just stock ls program in a computer i chipped my self. i have spark on all cylindes and fuel. it only will fire on cyl. 1, its the only warm header pipe/colored plug the rest spark when i grond them on the header. timing appears to be perfect arrows are up and 1 is at tdc. idk whats wrong, compression is at 180. my sel light will not go off unless i remove j12 jumper. car will not start either way, appears to be back firing. looking for some insight

the motor timing should be impecable, tdc on #1 both gears lined "up".

cel is stuck on when j1 is connected, iac is buzzing non stop, disconnect j1 iac stops, can hear evap sol click. car will not start, lopes for a second then stops! i only tried it once with the cel on and j1 connected, you can hear somthings is off. it gave me a small flare out of the intake ! so yah i'm here, im trying to find an ls basemap with cams but having trouble, also learning all the tuning stuffwhile working and going to school full time. Wiki will not load any page for me! wtf!!! ne input would be greatly appearciated.

firing on all cylinders no problem!

I shouldn't have to runs adjustable cams gears should i?>

I would say pgmfi.org would be the better place to ask around as it sounds like your ecu is the problem. I'm sorry I can't be more help. An adjustable fuel regulator bumped up a bit to deliver extra fuel, and pull some timing with cam gears that should allow it to safely fire up but Id say you still need to get that ecu nailed down.

im in search of cam gears, i've been messing around with it, and i'm talking to some people on pgmfi. i just found yesterday that cyl isn't igniting nor spark or fuel, the plug has no carbon, even thought it started and seemed ok. so that gave me some hope
