OK, some of you might remember me from the old site before you guys made everyone resign up with this new site. I had a 93 DX Hatch with a B20, 404s, and Si tranny. Well, long story short, it spun a bearing and I have a stock LS in there now until my rebuild is done.

Here is what I plan on doing now. Rebuild the block with a micropolished knife edged crank, Eagle H Beam rods with Weisco pistons that should give me 12:5.1 compression or some where around there. Port head with three angle valve job and the Crower 404s.

I never knew what my last setup dynoed but I know I ran a best of a 8.80 with 14 inch slicks. I will have everything the same except this time I will have the somewhat built bottom end. I hope to see low 8s or some high 7s with this new setup and maybe 180whp or more.

peak power numbers are in the head, the higher you can make tq the more power youll make. gettin a real good port/valvejob is the key to that on a nonvtec head. 404's will make decent power and monster midrange IE great street cam for a built motor. if you need more than 180-190hp though youll need bigger cams.

It all sounds good to me however, I will have to wait and see how it does when it's all finished. Hell, I have been thinking about maybe getting some 405s but we will see.

UPDATE: My block should be out of the shop by the end of this week. Hopefully it will be all together with in this month. It will be a B20Z2 block with 12:5.1ish compression. After the block it will be the head and then tranny.
