I am trying to further my knowledge on how to build an engine. I am wondering if you have to check the oil pump for clearances and how to do so.

Never mind I figured it out. I was reading about clearances and play for the inside of the oil pump. How about clearances when installing new cams? What are the specs?

If you buy them new, the cams will come with the spec sheet you need.
