i bought a LS head from a guy on this forum (chrisfromny) with upgraded cams, valvetrain, valves and the head was shaved too. After i did the timing i started the car but it seemed like it was running really ruff...i didnt have my exhaust on so it was kinda loud...if anyone has any suggestions on stuff that i can double check or any other things that i can do let me know...thanks

if it needed a valve adjustment that bad you should have heard those things slapping really hard inside the head. where they really loose or just a little to tight?

Did you buy a used HG?

I only buy OEM Honda head gaskets. It's too much work to pull the head and too important to save a few dollars.

got the FPR in...seems like the only way for the car to idle until i get a tune is to impose a vaccum leak on the IM. The hose that goes from the IM to the FPR, i took that off and it idles right around 1000 but if i put it back on, it idles around 500 and then dies on me...i know im running really rich which is probably why it is dying...and thoughts lmk...

Get it tuned as soon as you can. Did you try raising your idle with the idle screw?
