I just joined nonvtec today.
I have 2x Honda CRX SI's, they are imports from Japan and both came with DOHC ZC non vtec engine.
One of my cars has a turbo conversion, however it has some problems at the moment.
The CEL (Check engine Light) is coming on after approx 20mins of driving, I have swapped out the O2 Sensor, however the problem remains.. the old owner of the car claims that it was fine for 4 years with the setup the car has and that the problem only occured recently, he reckons the O2 sensor failed when the turbo blew a seal and put oil through the exhaust..
My A/R gauge appears to be working and this runs off the O2 Sensor also.
Another issue is, sometimes the TEMP gauge suddenly shoots up as high as it can go (Even from a cold start within seconds of starting engine), theres no sign of overheating etc, eventually it goes back down to the usual 1/2 way position.. could it be the temp sensor?
The Red CRX is stock standard, however it looks like an SIR due to being a facelift model
The Blue one is the turbo beast, this is only a 1987, however it has been fitted with facelift front bumper, also has an unusual rear lip.
