Hi guys, names Justin & i drive an '00 EK1 Civic CXi HB, D16Y4. its the equivelant of the CX/DX D16Y7 (i think) but the y4 comes stock with a Y8 manifold & headers.
Looking at going for a B18B2 swap from a 94-01 Integra GSi, which is the equivelant of the USDM LS. I know there's another guy on here thats swapped a B20B in his EK1 4dr, but never heard of anyone in australia doing a B18B swap.
At the mo, the cars still stock as a rock apart from exhaust & a pod filter. im first going to tackle the suspension, exterior look, then ill start work on the convo.
I have thought about turbo'ing the Y4, but the Y4 has a much different engine harness to work with. As a typical OBD2b equipped car has 3 plugs for the ecu, my beast only has 2 plugs, plus the injectors are wired in a way where 2 injectors work off 1 ecu wire, 2 wires, 2 injectors for each wire. also dizzy issues.
So im going to scrap it & start from scratch. I know its a common swap for you guys in the states, so i can gather some info from you guys! I look forward to giving & gathering info with my fellow nonvtec members!!
