i was wondering if a gsr water pump would work better than the ls and if is even possibel to work with the timing belt

You would have to use a gsr timing belt. I would just use a ls water pump. It's nothing special with the water pump.

yeah unless you are gonna spin some high rpms (8000-9000) then dont worry about it unless you just feel like it. the upside is gsr timin belts are cheaper than ls for some reason :)

There are no benifits to using a gsr water pump on a Ls motor unless you are doing a Ls Vtec swap.
