Wanting to know if anyone has experimented with f22b4 sohc N/a engines, not after mega power just a good increase and something different.

By using F20B rods in the F22b4 engine using standard pistons etc, according to the online calculators gives you roughly 11.96:1 compression

The engines have the same size bore but a different stroke, the F20b has longer rods than the F22B4 so by increasing the length of the rod as a direct increase in compression! BUT how woud this go for piston to valve clearance????? Anybody know?

Did you notice that with the F20B rods and the stock F22B4 95mm stroke that your piston would be out of the hole 3.6mm (0.14"). That would mean that your pistons would definitely be hitting the cylinder head.

You will need to run an H22A crank (90.7mm stroke) w/50mm mains to run F20B rods in an F22B block. That will leave you with approx 9.4:1 compression ratio. If you want to bump it up I would suggest custom pistons.

I am currently building an F22B2 SOHC.

Here are the specs of the build so far.
