Well it's been about 3,000 miles now since I put in the new Hamp oil filter and Castrol Syntec "blend". I did not feel any difference what so ever. But I did feel a difference in my 95' Prelude VTEC with the same oil and filter.

.. im suprised noone said this but .. screw royal purple its ok, mobil one is a great oem oil. But if running DOHC vtec motors for 2 years taught me anything its ... >> AMS oil is the shit... hands down vtec will try to burn it off but the oil is to much for it. When i run my B20 hard it will burn off a small small amount of mobil one but it cant do anything to the oil level when i run it hard on AMS.

HOLY old thread,....

damn. I now currently run K&N HP1004 on my CRX, Integra, and Hyundai, all with RPurp 5w30.

I'm about to try an AMSOIL EAO filter (for s2k) on one,and see if I like that. (I get amsoil free,or at most: wholesale, w00t thanks to my work, but I still very much prefer RP.)

I use Bosch oil filters. Supposedly they are made to the same specs as Mobile 1 filters and filter out the same particle size.
